CHEN Lai is the Dean of the Tsinghua Academy of Chinese Learning, Vice Chairperson of Academic Committee of Tsinghua University, and Professor of Department of Philosophy, Tsinghua University. His researches mainly focus on Chinese philosophy, Confucian philosophy, neo-Confucianism of the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties, and modern new Confucianism. He now serves as the President of China Philosophy History Association, Researcher of Central Research Institute of Culture and History, and a Member of Social Sciences Commission of the Ministry of Education. He has been awarded with honorary titles including Outstanding Chinese Doctors, and Outstanding Young and Mid-Aged Experts.
