Sun Feiyu is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology at Peking University, and the Associate Dean of Yuanpei College, Peking University. His main research interest is the history of Western social thoughts, focusing on social theories from a classical psychoanalytic perspective and phenomenological-hermeneutic perspective, as well as empirical studies on the Chinese society. His is the author of Methodology and the Life World (2018) and Social Suffering and Political Confession: Suku in Modern China (2012). He is also the Chinese translator of The Domestic Economy of the Soul (2016) and Gang Leader for A Day (2016). His latest work is From Seele to Psycho: A Sociological Study on Classical Psychoanalysis published in October 2021 by SDX Joint Publishing Company.
