LU Yang is a Professor of Department of History, Peking University. His research mainly focuses on the history of the Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties, the history of medieval Chinese Buddhism, and theory of modern historiography. He also serves as the Director of Graduate Studies of Yenching Academy at Peking University.
