HUA Zhe was born in 1981. He is an assistant professor of the School of Ancient Chinese Books and Traditional Culture, Beijing Normal University. He received a bachelor’s degree from Fudan University in 2004, and a doctorate from the Department of History at Peking University in 2011. During 2011 to 2013, he served as a post-doctor of the Department of Philosophy at Peking University. He also served as a foreign researcher in the Oriental Culture Institute at Tokyo University. His research focuses on the history of Chinese classics and the study of the Three Rituals.
