LIU Qinghua, Associate Professor, Institute of Modern Chinese History, Central China Normal University. He received his PhD in History at Ecole Pratique Des Hautes Etudes of PSL Research University (PSL-EPHE). He is mainly engaged in the study of modern Catholic history, the history of Sino-foreign relations, the history of religions in China, and the history of social culture. His research interests include modern Catholic history, religious social history and the history of Sino-foreign relations. He has published a monograph Une paroisse à la Cité impériale – Le Beitang de Pékin, 1688–1827.
