JIAO Nanfeng, Research Fellow, Shaanxi Archaeology Institute. He has been working at the Institute after graduated from Northwest University, serving as President of the Institute from 2001 to 2009. He has over 30 years’ experience in archaeological excavation and research of the Qin and Han Dynasties. His major excavations include the exploration, drilling, and excavation of the Yongcheng site, the capital city of the Qin Kingdom, No.1, Qin Gong (King) tomb (1982–1986). While excavating, he and the team curated an archaeological exhibition of the Hanyang Mausoleum. He has published over 100 papers, books, and archaeological reports focusing on Qin and Han research and the mausoleum system.
