LI Tiangang is a professor of Religious Studies in the Department of Philosophy, Fudan University. His main research areas include Chinese intellectual and cultural history, history of cultural exchange and the history of Christianity in China. He has published Cross-cultural Interpretation: Classical Studies and Theology, Controversy of Chinese Rites: History, Literature and Meaning, Ma Xiangbo and Modern Chinese Thought (in English). He was honored with the Matteo Ricci International Award in 2019.
