HUANG Chin-shing is a Senior Research Fellow of the Institute of History and Philology, Academia Sinica (Taipei). His research mainly focuses on modern intellectual history, the history of religious culture and historical theory. He also serves as a Member of the Asian-Pacific Regional Committee of the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange, a Member of the Academic Exchange and Program Committee of the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange and an Adjunct Professor of Taiwan University. He has won the Award of Distinguished Academic Performance, National Council of Sciences (twice), the Outstanding Research Award, National Council of Sciences (twice), the Book Award for Sages and Saints, Bureau of Information and News, and the Chair of Outstanding Scholarship, Foundation for the Advancement of Outstanding Scholarship (twice).
