Xie Dikun is the Distinguished Chair Professor of Humanities at the Renmin University of China School of Philosophy. He received his doctoral degree from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 1991, and his main research area is European continental philosophy. He is the Chinese editor-in-chief of the Yearbook for Eastern and Western Philosophy (2016), and an executive member of the Federation of International Scholars of Philosophy (FISP). Among his recent publications are Philosophical Research in Marxism (2012), German Classical Philosophy (2005), and The Way to Humanities: Research on Wilhelm Dilthey (2002).
