Liao Chin-ping, Professor, Department of Philosophy, Sun Yat-sen University. His researches mainly focus on aspects of Japanese philosophy, Comparative Philosophy, and East Asian Philosophy. He has published and translated many books, including Pre-war Taiwanese Philosophy: A Journey of Subsistence (《战前台湾哲学诸相：实存的行旅》), and Tanabe Hajime’s Philosophy in Modern Japan: A Viewpoint From Comparative and Cross-Cultural Philosophy (《近代日本哲学中的田边元哲学：比较哲学与跨文化哲学的视点》).
