Nishimura Yokocurrently serves as a professor in the Department of History at Toyo University. She received her Ph.D. degree in History from Chuo University. Her primary research interests include the late Tang and Five Dynasties period, as well as historical geography and cultural digital humanities of the Silk Road. She is the author of A Study of the History of the Sanduo Turks in the Tang Dynasty(唐代沙陀突厥史の研究), and has published dozens papers in Japanese and Chinese.
