BAO Weimin, Professor, School of History, Renmin University. He received his doctorate from the Department of History, Peking University in 1988. His research focuses on the history of the Song Dynasty, ancient Chinese economic history, and the modern history of Southeast China. His representative works include Jiangnan Towns and Their Modern Destiny (《江南市镇及其近代命运》), Research on the History of Local Finance in the Song Dynasty (《宋代地方财政史研究》), Traditional State and Society: 960–1279 and Study of Cities in Song Dynasty (《传统国家与社会：960–1279年》). He also presided over the compilation of Documents of Xu Weili from Wuyi in Southern Song Dynasty (《武义南宋徐谓礼文书》) and Selected Edition of Longquan Judicial Archives (《龙泉司法档案选编》).
