YU Meifang is a professor of History at Sun Yat-Sen University. His current research focuses on Chinese scholars and scholarship since late Ming Dynasty. He is the author of The Xuehai Academy and the Debate on the Studies of the Han School and the Song School: The Origins and Development of the Debate and Reflections on it (2016). co-edited publications including Academic Thoughts in Modern China, Academic Criticism in Modern China, and The History of Guoxue.
