        MA Zhongwen    

                MA Zhongwen is a research fellow at the Institute of Modern History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, director of the Modern General History Research Department, and former director of the Modern History Archives of China.  He graduated from the History Department of Northeast Normal University with a master's degree in 1992 and received his PhD in history from Fudan University in 2016. He has worked in the library of the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Zhonghua Book Company, and the editorial department of the Chinese Social Science Journal, Historical Studies. His research interests include the political history of the late Qing Dynasty and modern historiography. His publications include Figures and Historical Events of the Late Qing Dynasty (2015) and Ronglu and the Political Situation of the Late Qing Dynasty (2016); co-editing Zhang Yinhuan's Diary (2015), Guo Zexing's Self-defined Chronology (2018), and Local Society and Politics at the Time of Tongguang - Interpretation of Zhang Yinhuan's Letters to Zhao Xin and Liu Chuanzhen (2019); co-editing A Series of Diaries in the Collection of Manuscripts and Banknotes of the Institute of Modern History (2020), etc.
