        LI Danjie    

        LI Danjie is currently an associate professor at the Department of History, Sun Yat-sen University. She received her doctoral degree in 2015 from the Department of History, Peking University, and her dissertation won the university’s annual award for best PhD thesis. Her major research interest is the history of the Sui and Tang Dynasties (581-918 CE). Her current research projects include the study of the frontier governance of Medieval China, as well as the study of the development of the capital city in mid-late Tang. Her recent publications cover a wide range of topics such as Sui and Tang diplomatic culture, border areas, expressions of political power, and the social life of mid-Tang men of letters.
