MENG Qingyan, born in 1984, studied in the Department of Sociology, Nanjing University, since 2003. Later he studied at China University of Political Science and Law and Tsinghua University, where he received his master’s and doctoral degree respectively. He joined School of Sociology, China University of Political Science and Law since July 2014. He is currently the associate professor and associate director of School of Sociology, China University of Political Science and Law. His research interests are historical sociology, the history of the Communist Party of China, the history of modern china society and ideology. In recent years, he has been focusing on the political revolution and social transformations of modern china. He has published multiple papers on academic journals from home and aboard,

including Sociological Studies, Chinese Journal of Sociology, Open Times, etc.
