WU Ya-ting received her doctoral degree in History at the National Taiwan University in 2007. She is now the associate professor at National Chi Nan University. She is interested in socio-cultural history of Song Dynasty, with a special focus on the formation of traditional Chinese society. Her publications include Movement Matters: Sociocultural Connotations of Travel Activity During the Song Era (2007) and journal articles including The Travels and Travel Writings of Song-Dynasty Literati through the Eyes of the Three Sus’Nanxing Ji (2017) and Anxious Encounters: Travel Accommodations and Impressions of Space during the Song Dynasty (2010).
