        Reiko Shinno    

        Reiko Shinno is a professor of history at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She got a Master of Chinese Philosophy from Tokyo University in 1990, and earned her Ph.D in history from Stanford University in 2002. Professor Reiko Shinno’s research focuses on the history of the Song, Jin and Yuan Dynasties and the history of Chinese studies in Japan. Her publications include “Medical Schools and the Temples for the Three Progenitors in Yuan China: A Case of Cross-Cultural Interactions” (Harvard Journal of Asiatic Studies 67.1: 89-133), Alexander Woodside’s Lost Modernities: China, Vietnam, Korea, and the Hazards of World History (NTT), The Politics of Chinese Medicine under Mongol Rule (Needham Research Institute Series), etc.
