        XIONG Chunwen    

        XIONG Chunwen is the professor at the College of Humanities and Development Studies, China Agricultural University. He earned his Ph.D from the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2005. In 2015, Professor Xiong worked as a visiting scholar at the Center for Cultural Sociology, Yale University. He is now the director of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at China Agricultural University, and also committee member of Chinese Sociological Association. His main research fields are social theories, agricultural sociology, urban and rural studies. Professor Xiong has published a book entitled Modern Transformation of China Educational Spirit, and signal papers of ‘“Words-Up-Moving”: The New Trend of China’s Rural Education Since Late 1990s’, ‘The Outline of Agricultural Sociology: Theories, Framework and Prospects’ in the core journal Sociological Studies.
