CHO Keongran is a Professor at the Institute of Korean Studies, Yonsei University. Her main research areas are modern Chinese thoughts, intellectuals, Confucianism and the Tianxia thought, and East Asian thoughts, etc. She has published several books, including The Exploration of Modern Chinese Thoughts (2003), The Modern Chinese Thoughts and East Asia (2008), The Map of Modern Chinese Intellectuals: New Confucianism, Liberalism, and the New Left (2013), The Birth of Knowledge in China in the Twentieth Century (2015), State, Confucianism, and Intellectuals (2016), etc.
