Natalia Polosmak is a Member of the Russian Academy of Science and and German Institute of Archaeology. She is also a Principal Researcher of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and an honorary doctor of the Institute of Archaeology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences. She has been focusing on archaeology, culture and arts research of ancient Central Asia and Siberia. She has been the leader of the South Altai Archaeological Team and conducted excavation in Siberia and Mongolia.
