XING Yitian received his doctorate degree of History from the University of Hawaii. He became an academician at Academia Sinica in Taiwan in 2010. He has been a fellow of National Taiwan University and the City University of Hong Kong. His research interests include the history of the Qin and Han Dynasties, the history of Rome, unearthed bamboo slips and iconography. His publications include Selected Translation of the Materials of the History of Rome, Emperors, Bureaucrats and Society, and Bamboo Slips of the Han Dynasty.
