YAN Zhibin was born in 1975 in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province. He is a researcher of the Institute of Archaeology of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He obtained his BA and MA degree from Department of Archaeology at Jilin University, and obtained his PhD degree from Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. His has been engaged in researches on ancient Chinese character and archaeology of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties.
