GE Zhaoguang is a Distinguished Professor of National Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies, and Department of History at Fudan University. His research mainly focuses on history of thought, culture and religion of East Asia and China. His publications include Chinese Ideological History (1998, 2000) and Chinese Zen Ideology History – From the Sixth to Tenth Century (1995, 2006). He has been awarded the First China Book Award, and the First Cheung Kong Reading Award in 2000.
