LIU Wei, born in 1979, is an associate professor of archaeology at Renmin University of China. He obtained bachelor degree of history in Liaoning University at 2001, and then obtained his master degree and Ph.D. at the department of history in Peking University. During 2004-2006, he taught at Nanjing University of aeronautics and astronautics archaeology institute. Since 2011, he has been teaching at the history college of Renmin University of China. His research directions are archaeology in song and yuan dynasty, ceramic archaeology, urban archaeology. He published Archaeological study of tombs in liao dynasty, and more than 20 articles at journal of archaeology, sinology and other academic publications.
