Deng Shuping, born in 1948, obtained her history master degree at Taiwan University. Her main research field is China's ancient history, the history of Chinese jade. She has served in The Palace Museum of Taipei since 1974 to 2013. She has published more than 10 books, more than one hundred of articles and popular articles. Her outstanding contributions include : in 1993, she put forward the viewpoint of "huaxi system jade" based on the collection of jade , and it has been confirmed; in recent years, she has actively explored the history of western jade and the islamic jade in the western region.
