TONG Ling is an Associate Professor of the School of Liberal Arts, Nanjing University. He also serves as a Researcher of the Institute for Advances Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences at Nanjing University, a Researcher of the Institute of Foreign Chinese Classic Works, a Visiting Associate Researcher of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences at National Taiwan University, and a Visiting Associate Professor of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at Kyoto University. He is mainly engaged in the studies, thoughts and literature of the Six Dynasties and Sui Tang. He is also interested in the history of Confucian Classics of medieval China, and ancient East Asia history and foreign Chinese classic works.
