ZHANG Tao is an associate research fellow at the Institute for Chinese Classics Studies, Tsinghua University. Before he came to Tsinghua University, he worked at the Information Research Institute, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. His main research fields are the history of Chinese classics, ritual systems, academic history of Qing Dynasty, and especially, in recent years, the collation of classical literature and the modern transformation of traditional rituals. He is the author of Historical Essays on the Organization of Compile San Li in the Qianlong Period (2015).
