JIANG Wentao is a lecturer in Zhejiang University, International Campus, and the deputy director of Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences. He received his Ph.D at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, after studying at Nankai University and Peking University. His main research interests are sentiment studies and printing culture in the British long eighteenth century, comparative literature, literary theory and digital humanities.
He received his Ph.D at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, after studying at Nankai University and Peking University. He was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Tsinghua University, and served as the assistant director of Columbia-Tsinghua Center for Translingual and Transcultural Studies. Together with Anatoly Detwyler, he has been hosting the column “Digital Humanities: Viewing its Big Comparison” in Shandong Social Sciences since 2016, and has been the editor of Digital Humanities since 2020. He is the author of Sentiments and the Rise of Modern Textual Culture in the British Long Eighteenth Century.
