YU Yang is an associate professor at Modern Chinese Poetry Research Institute of Southwest University, dedicated in making modern poetries studies from a perspective of social thoughts and concerned with the changing progress of the post-cultural-revolution academic thoughts in mainland China. He graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology in 1999 and studied Modern and Contemporary Literature at Peking University from 2003 to 2010. He is the author of the poetry collection Returning to the Homeland (2015), The Inner Divergence of the Poetry of the Nineties: from Perspective of Functional Constructs (2016), and co-author with HE Zhaotian and others of Humanistic Intellectual Thought Revisited (2018).
