LI Mingfei is currently an associate research fellow at the Institute of History, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. She received her doctoral degree in 2011 from the Department of History, Peking University. From 2011 to 2013 she served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Center of International China Studies, Peking University, and used to be a visiting scholar at the University of Tehran in 2010. Her major research interests are the history of Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368 CE) and the history of China’s foreign relations. Apart from more than 30 academic papers, she has published a monograph titled The Civil Service System of Sanguan in the Jin-Yuan Period (金元散官制度研究, Lanzhou University Press, 2014).
