HE Fangying is an associate researcher at the Institute of Foreign Literature, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. She earned her D.A from Renmin University of China, and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Sun Yat-Sen University. Dr. He’s studies range from ancient Greek epics, classical political philosophy to French modern drama theories. She is the author of Homer’s Ambition: Odysseus’s Problem in the Perspective of History of Western Political Thought, and the co-translator of Rousseau’s Exemplary Life: The Confessions as Political Philosophy. In addition, Dr. He has published papers on many core journals such as World Philology, Foreign Literatures, Academic Monthly, etc.
