GAO Bo was born in 1982 in Yulin, Shaanxi Province. He is a lecturer of School of History, Renmin University of China. He obtained his BA degree of psychology from Department of Psychology at Peking University in 2005, and PhD degree of history from Department of History at Peking University in 2012. He has been engaged in researches on Chinese modern intellectual history, focusing on the political ideas involved.
