CHEN Zhiyuan was born in 1983. He is a research assistant of the Institute of History at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. In 2009, He graduated from the Department of English at Peking University with a master’s degree. In 2013, he graduated from the Department of History at Peking University with a doctorate. He served as a post-doctor at the Center of Ruzang, Peking University. He had short academic visits at Kyoto University and Dharma Drum Institute of Liberal Arts. His research focuses on Buddhism history in the Six Dynasties, the Buddhist philology of medieval China, and the interaction between Confucianism and Buddhism.
