CHANG Huaiying is a Research Assistant of the Institute of Archaeology, CASS. His research mainly focuses on the Xia, Shang and Zhou archaeology, the history of Chinese archaeology, and the mold casting craft of bronzes. He has joined the excavation of the Lijiaba ruins (Yunyang, Chongqing), the Jinsha Site (Chengdu, Sichuan), the Xiaomin ruins of Yinxu (Anyang, Henan), the Beizhaojin Hou cemetery (Quwo, Shanxi), and the ruins of Buyao village (Linchheng, Hebei), and the indoor excavation and arrangement of the Qin and Han Bamboo Slips of Peking University. He has also joined the arrangement and research of the Rui State cemetery at Liangdai Village (Hancheng, Shaanxi), the Beizhaojin Hou cemetery, the Yejia Mount (Suizhou, Hubei), and the mold casting craft of bronzes from the Zeng State Cemetery at the Wenfeng Tower. In the recent two years, his has been researching the regional disparity of the mold casting craft, and the interment of musical instrument and equipage in the Shang and Zhou funeral rites.
