Wang Hui is a professor at the Department of Cultural Heritage and Museology at Fudan University. He received his BA and MA degrees from Peking University, and a PhD from Kobe University in Japan in 2006. His research areas include Neolithic and Bronze age archaeology in the Chinese Northwest, archaeology of the early Qin dynasty and Western Rong cultures, and silk road archaeology. He edited multiple volumes of Zaoqi Sichou zhi Lu ji Zaoqi Qin Wenhua Guoji Xueshu Yantaohui Lunwenji (International Studies in Early Silk Road Archaeology and Early Qin dynasty, 2012, 2014).
