WANG Binghua studied in the Department of History of Peking University in 1955 and has been a fellow of the Institute of Archaeology of Xinjiang since 1960. In the past 60 years, he investigated the cultural relics, tombs and ruins all over Xinjiang in cooperation with Japanese and French scholars. Since his retirement in 2000, he has been a fellow of the School of Chinese Classics, Renmin University of China.
